Detailed Instructions for downloading
If you are unfamiliar with downloading zipped files from the internet then
you are advised to print the following instructions. The whole process
takes about 3 to 4 minutes plus the download time indicated under the file you
are downloading.

Click the file you want to start the download.

If you are given the option, then you should "open" or "run" the program and proceed to step 4.

a. You will be presented with a screen inviting you to save the program, in which case NOTE the location to which you are going to save it (normally at the top of the screen) and proceed to save.
Later version of Windows allow you to select the location to save to and the
name of the file. A good place would be your desktop to save you
locating the file later.
b. Locate the program using your Windows Explorer or "My
computer"
c. When you have located the program double click on it to run it.

You will be presented with a small window where
the title will depend on the program you have downloaded, but at the bottom
you will find a button marked "Finish". Click the [Finish] button. You may be asked if you want to create a subdirectory in which case answer Yes.
You may also be asked if you want to overwrite an existing file in which
case the answer is also Yes. Eventually you will be given a screen "Extraction Complete", press
OK.

If you are downloading an update then that's it!
If you are loading a full version the Setup program will run automatically. You will be presented with the following screens:
Welcome Screen - Click [Next]
Start Copying Files Screen - Click [Next]
(At this stage new users will be presented with a "My Computer" type window for the
new program group. Close this by clicking the X at the top right corner.)
Setup Complete -
If you are making a new installation, you will need to restart the computer so just
Click [Finish].
If you are updating an installation there is no need to restart, Click [No...]
and then [Finish]
Click [Finish] for a second time.

To start the program click your START button, then
Programs ("All Programs" in Windows XP), select the School
Manager, and the program.
